Arrive on the weekend or add a weekend day in San Jose to any package. The Cafe Mundo and the Restuarante Olio are great dining options on Friday and Saturday. There is plenty of urban adventure in the capitol of San Jose. Puchos night club has strippers on Friday night, on Saturday the Club Oh disco is very popular until dawn. All the guys head to the disco La Avispa on Sunday after the Hispalis. The saunas are busy all weekend, especially the Hispalis on Sunday afternoon! San Jose city tours and eco-adventures outside the city are available everyday.

Day: 1 Arrive San Jose Int’l Airport. Pick up by rental car agency at the airport. Head to Colours Oasis Resort in the tranquil Rohrmoser neighborhood of San José, where you will spend the first night of your trip. After check-in your afternoon is free to relax and explore the city in a self guided tour. Guided tours are also available. Dinner at Cafe Mundo is suggested although the Colours staff is always happy to make reservations at the restaurant of your choice.
Day: 2 Breakfast at Colours Oasis . Head to Las Aguas Jungle Lodge in the Southern Pacific Zone. This trip takes three hours from San José and goes through the most beautiful mountains in Costa Rica. Have your camera ready! There are amazing landscapes and vistas throughout the journey. You can detour to the Irazu volcano, or tour the cloud forest and quetzal territory of Dota, at elevation 11,000’. Stop at El Trailero Restaurant (Km63) to enjoy traditional costarrican dishes and see the hummingbirds at La Georgina Restaurant (Km92). Check in at Las Aguas Jungle Lodge in the afternoon. Cocktails and dinner at the Lodge. A gay themed movie plays nightly in the cinema at the Lodge.
Day: 3 Visit Hacienda Baru Nature Preserve and zip line through the tops of the trees in a canopy tour and tree climb. Take an afternoon swim at the deserted beach, Playa Guapil. Dinner in Dominical or San Isidro. We suggest the Mirador Los Chorros. Authentic Costarrican cuisine and an awesome sunset view to the ocean. The 10 person spa is the perfect place to relax after dinner with a tropical cocktail and hang out with friends.
Day: 4 After a hearty breakfast, you will enjoy the beauty of the tropical rainforest. Ride your horse over a scenic 12 kilometer route to Nauyaca Waterfalls. Take a swim in the natural pools formed by these enormous waterfalls, climb the falls and dive in! After your full day adventure in the rainforest, return to Las Aguas for sunset cocktails and dinner at the Lodge.
Day: 5 Sunrise Birding and a refreshing dip in the jungle grotto before breakfast. Fly back to San José via Sansa Airlines from Dominical/ Palmar Sur, arriving in time for your afternoon departure from Juan Santa Maria Int'l Airport.

Day: 2 Enjoy the breakfast at Colours, and get ready for an adventure. A bilingual representative will take you to see some of the wonders of Costa Rica on a Volcano tour. Poás Volcano is surrounded by coffee and strawberry plantations, with easy access to an active crater and a turquoise lagoon. The Irazu volcano is one of the highest mountains in the country with five inactive craters and a view to both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans on a clear day, Lunch and snacks are included in the trip.

Launch a kayak and have fun in the ocean in Parque Nacional Marino Ballena, Along the way make stops to watch birds, monkeys, sloths, etc. Aside from exuberant flora and fauna you will also see breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. At the put-in, bilingual guides will tell you all about the park's history and teach you important safety techniques. We do our best to make sure that the tour in enjoyable and secure. Only the safest equipment is provided. After a light lunch of tropical fruit, snorkel around Ballena Island, observing the richest marine fauna in the area. Or, if you prefer, you may choose to simply relax on the island and explore the numerous caves. In the evening indulge yourself with a genuine Mexican dinner at Alejo's.

Palm tree farms and unspoiled beaches provide the backdrop for the adventure on the unpaved road to Quepos. Manuel Antonio National Park is nearby and the Playita beach is just a short walk from your hotel. After check in at your room, you have a full free afternoon to relax, go to the beach or go exploring. Breakfast is not included at the Hotel Mandarina but the delightful Cafe Milagro is right next door.

Day: 10. Early morning return to San Jose via Quepos/Jaco/Atenas. Travel through the majestic palm farms of the Savegre plains and then up the scenic coastal highway to the mountains again. Optional car rental return in Quepos and fly back to San José via Sansa Airlines, arriving in time for your afternoon departure from Juan Santa Maria Int'l Airport.
